Understanding What Goes On In A Woman's Head

Being a woman is not an easy job. Many men (not all) think they deserve all the breaks because they are typically the sole “bread” winners in the family. However, what happens when both parties work? Shouldn’t responsibilities be handed out equally?

Take my situation for example. I am married and have three children. My husband works an 8 to 5 full time executive job. I work from my home part time as well as watch over my littlest one. Because I do not leave my home to go to work, I am expected to bring the kids to and from school, do the housework and laundry, do the grocery shopping, feed the kids, put them to bed, get up with them in the middle of the night and make money to help contribute to the household bills. In my opinion, this is just not fair.

I can understand if I was not making any money and helping with expenses, but I am. So, wouldn’t you think that responsibilities should be shared? In my opinion, I feel that men still take women for granted. Back in earlier times, sure the women would stay home with the kids as the man went off and provided for his family, however, nowadays, things have changed. I believe that men should step back and take a look at what a woman actually does in a day. Most of the time, between the housework and kids, that is a full time job in itself, never mind adding on a part time job as well. Wake up guys and smell the coffee! It’s time to put that apron on and help out a little. Will it really kill you to change a diaper or two? Some might think so.

On a bit of a lighter note, I have exhilarating news before I run, I was talking to my mate last night and he has just got a lovely new job at an hr software company. Well done Luke
