Gordon, You're It

As a child I loved watching films rated 18. Horror films mainly, but anything which I wasn’t supposed to be watching was almost as good, even if it wasn’t scary at all. One of the films I loved was It. The film about the evil killer clown with bright red hair. Being the kind of child who was scared of clowns and also sort of intrigued by them (actually I was more scared of people like Chris Evans who had red hair and were real), it had everything I needed.

Now, many years later, there’s a new It in town and his name is Gordon Brown.

Or there was, until he resigned yesturday…

Seriously, look at the front cover of that DVD (It, not the yet to be made The Making of Gordon Brown as a Terrible Prime Minister; although if that film did exist then I’m sure people would rent it, probably people who have run out of torture devices and are after something really horrific I expect) and you’ll see precisely what I mean. The smiles match perfectly.

Sadly, it seems that the killer clown could have done a little better as Prime Minister. Now we’re left with a soiled country, again, and isn’t that such a big surprise?
